Joshua Sikora Interviewed for Upcoming Star Wars Documentary

Sikora Interviewed for Documentary

| On Jul 19, 2015

This weekend, Cinema & New Media Arts program director Joshua Sikora was interviewed for the Ministry of Cinema‘s upcoming film, The Prequels Strike Back — a feature-length documentary exploring the artistry and innovation in George Lucas’ Star Wars saga. Drawing from research conducted for HBU’s recent class on George Lucas, Sikora shared a number of insights into the cinematic and mythological foundations at work in the Star Wars prequels. The interview, conducted by director Bradley Weatherholt, was filmed at the legendary Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas.

In 2014, Sikora taught a CNMA course focused on the cinematic work of George Lucas. Many of his students’ essays from the class can be read here on our site and Sikora’s own analysis can be explored at lucascinema.com.
