Introducing “The Essentials” Screening Series
Cinema & New Media Arts | On Feb 08, 2015
This Tuesday, February 10, we’ll begin a new film screening series called The Essentials to introduce students to some of the great “essential” films that form the foundations of our modern cinema.
We’re kicking the series off with a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Vertigo. Considered the greatest movie of all time by leading film critics in Sight & Sound’s 2012 poll, Vertigo is a masterpiece of suspense and psychological drama. James Stewart stars as a private investigator who becomes obsessed with the woman he’s been hired to follow.
We’ll be joined by guest host and independent filmmaker Clint Cullum who will help lead a discussion following the film.
Join us this Tuesday evening, February 10 at 6:30 pm in UAC 150. We hope to see you then!
