Over the last two years, Professor Doug TenNapel, our filmmaker-in-residence, has been hard at work creating a reboot of the classic kids series VeggieTales for Netflix and DreamWorks Animation. The new series, “VeggieTales in the House,” premiered on Netflix this past winter and has just been nominated for an Emmy.
As executive producer, TenNapel leads a talented team of writers, voice artists, and animators to create dynamic new episodes of the inspirational children’s series. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this week that the series is one of three nominees for Best Pre-School Children’s Animated Program.
In addition to his success with VeggieTales, TenNapel also will be releasing his new animated video game, Armikrog, later this year. Professor TenNapel is teaching two classes at HBU this spring and we are honored to have him as part of our Cinema & New Media Arts faculty.
Doug TenNapel will also be speaking at this year’s HBU Writers’ Conference on Saturday, April 11. Learn more and register at hbu.edu/writersconference.
